Evap-Lube 2200

Light Duty Vanishing Film Lubricant sample price only.

Product Description

VANISHING OIL is a LIGHT DUTY solvent based Vanishing Lubricant designed for those applications wherein little oil film is permissible. Vanishing oil 2need for an200 will virtually disappear – at pre-determined intervals – thus completely eliminating y further cleaning, degreasing, buffing or polishing prior to shipping in many operations.

This product leaves a thin imperceptible film of lubricant that facilitates a clean die release of thin sheet or roll stock. The carrier generally dries in one to four hours. Normally, cleaning is not required after using vanishing lubricant.2200 specifically formulated for use in roll forming and press operations on pre finished and other specialty metals.

Evap-Lube 2200is designed for use where a vanishing Lubricant is required. 2200 is a premium quality, high performance, clear, low viscosity metal working fluid. 2200 evaporates readily leaving little or no residual oils for optimum cleanliness during metal working operation, while still providing excellent release properties.

2200s prompt evaporation characteristics results in the manufacture of clean components, which will readily accept welds, allow for adhesion of paint to processed parts and leave virtually no residue to react with other processing chemicals.

2200contains select additives to provide optimum lubricity during metal stamping and forming, resulting in extended die life. The product formulation obtains the important balance of proper lubrication during metalworking, yet vanishes from parts in minimal time to avoid delays in the manufacturing process, and minimizing the need for manual cleaning of components. 2200is non-corrosive and non-staining to aluminum, copper, steel and their alloys.

Vanishing oil 2200should be used in stamping operations to keep the tools cool and prevent wear.

  • Suitable for ferrous and non ferrous metals
  • Ideal where rapid drying is required
  • Where surfaces are painted with oil paints
  • Burns clean in annealing ovens

Non-corrosive to aluminum, copper and other non-ferrous metals and ferrous metals. Brightening not needed after cleaning.
Environmentally friendly Waste disposal does not require special reagents.
Evaporates rapidly. Leaves virtually no residue and No Odor. 99% plus Volatile. Minimizes manual parts clean up. Easier to remove after forming operation.
High Flash Point Reduction of Fire risk with minimum dry times

APPLICATION :
2200 is designed primarily for use in light to light to moderate duty stamping and forming operations of ferrous and aluminum, copper and other non-ferrous metals, while still finding application in some light duty operations with ferrous metals. Its unique ability to provide thin film lubrication, then evaporate quickly leaving no residue, makes 2200an excellent choice for applications calling for the use of a vanishing oil. 2200can be applied by spraying or roller coating. 2200should always be used as received.

Vanishing oil 2200can be applied straight by spraying, dipping, brushing, flooding or roller coating methods. Caution should be taken when sprayed to not exceed the permissible exposure limits to oil mist.

Dilution Recommendations :

Application Dilution
Stamping Use as received
Header and Tank forming Use as received
Fin Forming Use as received

Note: 2200should be stored at temperatures between 65°F and 90°F to preserve its integrity. However, if residue on parts is going to be further dried in an oven, operating temperatures should be kept below 250°F to avoid decomposition.

Caution: Product contains solvent. Use mechanical ventilation and guard against open flames or other ignition sources.
